To The Death Bearing in mind Ibrahim's comments above regarding the combat being tedious, I've improved things slightly by allowing some combats to be resolved with a single click. This only applies when you are facing a single opponent, AND you are fighting alone, AND there is no Escape option AND there is nothing out of the ordinary going on. Hopefully this will not cause any problems - I'm sure someone will let me know if it does. |

Updates Hamza Moiz, aka Kekataag has sent in his gamebook Quest For The Ebony Wand, and I have put it on the downloads page. There is also an updated, and apparently debugged, version of Stuart Lloyd's Shadowcaster. On an unrelated note, Oscar Monteiro has made an online version of Victor Cheng's Kill The Beast. Garden Of Bones Alec Worley's gamebook is now ready for online play. Legend has it that whenever the full moon shines upon the Garden of Bones its gates creak open once more. Though the undead remain trapped inside, it is possible for the living to enter their shadow realm. Many an adventurer has entered the Garden in search of the fabled Scythe of Morbius Kane. None have returned - at least none alive. |

News From Wizard Books I got an email from Nick Sidwell at Wizard Books containing this information : - There is going to be a new Fighting Fantasy Gamebook out in September, called Stormslayer. - There will be a "new look". This appears to be primarily a change to the cover artwork, but "there’s a couple of other cool things inside too, including new adventurers to play with and extracts from the next book". - Some books will be re-released in the new format : initially, The Warlock Of Firetop Mountain, The Citadel Of Chaos and Deathtrap Dungeon. - There is going to be a new official website soon, in the same place as the existing one. - There will be more books out next year, including "two brand new titles". |

New Additions The following gamebooks have been added to the downloads page : To Catch A Thief and A Midwinter Carol by Kieran Coghlan (author of Hunger Of The Wolf). Phobia by Zachary Carango. Contractual Obligation by Ulysses Ai. Also, Phil Sadler's maps of Hellfire and Riders Of The Storm can now be downloaded. Phil has suggested that these may be of particular interest to other gamebook designers. |
