Seriously guys, this site is in danger of losing its hipster credentials.

Yes, while most people have glass pints, we'll have tankards of ale. Also, we'd loudly discuss a mission to 'infiltrate a lost temple of booby traps and destroy the necromancer'. We could have a map prop on the table and plan out our route. We could also visit the local market, purchase some provisions, asking if they have any magical garments for sale, even some advice about Razaak. We could ask ordinary on the spot, mixed in with actors dressed up in outlandish costumes...

I've seen some fan films featuring clever special effects - S.T.A.L.K.E.R is one such example.

Actually no, it was just a hoody and t-shirt. No stat bonuses, they must be useless...
Trinitour: Do you possess a t-shirt and hoody?
Me: Um, no.
ADVENTURE ENDS HERE

And that tavern idea would be awesome. I sense a new Youtube hit! If everyone on the guestbook comes together we'll have... 7 people. Well, we have a SWAT team of Orcs at least.

@ C-Star,

Interested in what clothes you got: was it...AN ADVENTURER'S COSTUME! Did you get a sword and backpack to go with them? Wonder if anybody got a Necromancer's outfit this year? Wouldn't it be great if we could actually get these outfits and go out to the tav...I mean pub. And we could ask people about any sword-for-hire work going. LOL, can you imagine if somebody actually dared to do that? I'd love to see that! And wouldn't it be something if a horde of Orcs or troop of Caarth swarmed into the pub, swinging scimatars. ALL REAL, I mean. Jaws would drop to the floor and bladders would empty :)

They say we can actually create monsters through poking about with genetics and DNA. Perhaps, one day, we'll see an FF theme park with real creatures and villains...

Hellfire
Actually, forget my previous rants, I figured it out myself. Apologies. Now...

I SHALL TAKE MY VENGEANCE ON THE NIGHT DEMON!!!

I hope he's easier to kill... Most of the really bad monsters in Hellfire could be avoided or weakened in some way, but Trinitour was still pretty tough, even with the chaos cross.

At least I already have the Wish Ring and the Mirror. I know I need these later for two powerful monsters. I also have 2 open door spells. Just need to find the time spell next... Isn't there also a very specific time you have to use it?

Oh dear God.

I just tried Hellfire again. Got to the acid river. I don't think I've said the f-word more times in my life. That book is cruelty incarnate! The maps don't help much either...

Ha nice! I loved that book. Especially the plot twist. Found myself running out of LUCK at the end a lot though. Thank God for bookmarks!

I got a new phone and some clothes, so I'm happy enough. Ha I sound like a child here :-D

It's been a very quiet Xmas. Just how I like it. Next year I'll be spending it in a Canadian log cabin, lots of supplies, far away from civilization - with only a couple of wolves for company. Because...

I'M THE MASTER OF WOLVES!!

It probably did end, and we're all dead - but we don't realize it. Bit like the Matrix where it's a realistic world although the rules cans be bent or broken. Sounds a bit like a gamebook!

Not sure if it is the start of a new cycle, ie. Mankind's evolution, alien contact, reversal of magentic poles, and so on.

You're right about loons and their predictions. One fellow predicted the second coming of Christ, and he must have been quite convinced by his own claims: he spent about fifty million dollars on advertising alone! Still, it proves his dedication. Money's no object when it comes to great dreams (providing you have it, of course).

Ah don't worry, there'll be plenty more loons predicting the end of the world over the years.

On the contrary, the world did in fact end, right on time. The Player re-rolled his stat.s and started again. For time is a garden of forking paths. And now is a page in the minds of men.

Wrong Way Go Back
Hey,

I've been playing Wrong Way Go Back thousands of times without getting further: I'm completely stuck after Ive found Gary Fishbone's- and my own ID, a fancy screw driver, and later on a 12V power-something (not sure if I need anything else from that locker, though)..... although, by finding these apparently useful things I'm freaking burning to death, and although I choose to go left in order to get a blaster to shoot the robot and robo-dog, Im dying anyway....

HELP?????!!!!!

Devil's Flight
@ Ibrahim/Gaetano

To be fair, without at least one astonishingly annoying and unfair snatching-defeat-from-the-jaws-of-victory instadeath of furious doom, FF just isn't FF.

If you don't like it, there's always choose your own adventure. ;-)

Devil's Flight
@Gaetano Your welcome, it was a good game if rather rough going, but to me it doesn't have the appeal of Soul Tracker which I've played through a number of times. If you asked me to put my finger on what makes ST tick for me, I couldn't though congratulations on such a fabulus game.
