I finished Wrong Wayy Go Back. I was very pleased that it went right into Planet of the Spiders which I'd been checking out as I couldn't finish Wrong Way. I have been thrown off the balcony several times and back we go again. Do I need to eat the sandwiches in a certain order? Thanks for your help. Ulysses, I must tell you how darn good these are. I work at a University and you should teach creative writing!

Well T. G. C. is really a challange. Tjhat Death Bot is unbelieveable.How am I supposed to fight a monster like that? I haven't tried smoke bombs yet but this is one tough assignment. I tried not to buy a knife but when I try to sneak through the door (after lessons) I get nailed every time. Ah, what fun!

You really remind me of me. I was posting the exact same stuff as you when I first started posting! The WWGB series is a challenge. I must have died about 25 times all throughout! Of course, the other guys helped me a lot.

And as for your problems with the Death Bot, you're not supposed to fight it. If you do, it is extremely unlikely that you will win. What you're supposed to do is

The item is, I.M.O., very random, so ask if you need help figuring it out. And, just to warn you, it actually gets harder later on :-( but that's what makes gamebooks so satisfying when you win them!

I played the new House of Horror game, which actually works for me! It was really enjoyable. Since I haven't played HOH in 2 years, it took me a while to remember the path, but I made it eventually. I liked the little effects that showed up too. In fact, my only problem with this game was that the effects didn't really match up with what was going on in the paragraph I was on at the time.

You are right, most of the sounds are random, in a few paragraphs the sounds do match though. The game would improve with the right sounds and gfx in the right places, i know.
I'm working on a second gamebook atm, game engine is improved, can be played with or without a mouse and the text is scrollable now. The gamebook is one from Ulysses: Wrong way, go back.

But judging by your posts, you don't seem to actually be finishing any of the books. i'd recommend completing them. When you complete one book in the series, you're allowed to go onto the next with all stat boosters and some items still intact! Just remember to make bookmarks so you don't have to start again from the beginning if you die.

There's a big discussion going on between Walker Long and C-Star at the moment :O

Afraid I've had a go at only a few online gamebooks here: 'Garden of Bones', 'House of Horror', and 'Soul Tracker' - but otherwise too busy with writing my own and currently reading the Saxon Chronicle novels!

Once I reach a 'quiet' period (probably not until next year at this rate!) I'll try out the other adventures featured here.

Ulysses, or anybody, how do you make abookmark? I am blind and use JAWS, It is a pain to start over each time I die. Then I keep re-starting to get a character. Thanks for all the help.

The program JAWS reads what is on the screen. The only real problem is that it somtimes has times with graphics. I have 2 cursers one is the P.C. and the other is the JAWS cursor. I use the num pad to choose which cursor to use. The P.C. cursor works just like yours does as it goes only in the P.C. area. The JAWS Cursor can go anywhere on the screen so I can get to the drop-down menus. So I can do what ever you can do. If you tell me how you make a bookmark I can figure it out with JAWS. I went to help but it said to use the "Insert" menu and I don't have one when I am in the game. Could I have the wrong toolbar?

Sorry to take up so much of your time. Oh, how do I get arrested again so I can talk to my little friend with the leaf? I keep going right to the queen and then Boom.

Well on my computer a star appears at the end of the space where you type in the website name. I click on that and that bookmarks the page. Your's might be different though.... Could someone a bit more tech-savvy help us?
