OK, finished Potter's Field. I never knew that Aediles operated police forces! TBH, it reads more like a video game intermission transcript than a standalone novel... Is Cromwell the same as the one who led a revolution in our universe? :-) |

Thanks for reading and commenting :) Historically aediles and vigiles were indeed separate, but this is obviously an alternate history. I don't know what a video game intermission transcript is, I was thinking of dnd. When I saw posters for Shardlake up around the place I regretted giving that character the name of Cromwell, though to add insult to injury Shardlake has now been cancelled, and I can always say he's the Cromwell from Wolf Hall, or the Cromwell from Albert Pyun's The Sword and the Sorcerer. |
