The third instalment of Ulysses Ai's Wrong Way Go Back series is ready for online play.
Fresh from battling giant, demi-human spiders from Arachnon, our hero, YOU, once more finds himself thrust into the bosom of adventure. Can you retrieve the Golden Crate from the evil clutches of the arch villain? Great obstacles stand in your way, such as: Space Pirates, Insane Computers, The Outlawed Concept of Time Travel, and at long last: a Death-bot. Succeed, and you will be able to have a girlfriend! Fail, and a host of interesting fates await you.
Fates such as: Beaten to death by a grumpy ape Having all your blood sucked out by a giant mosquito Torn apart by crocodiles Boiled alive in a vat of Brussels sprouts Sentenced to Death as a Trade Commodity Crushed by a grief-stricken employer And many, many more…!
Rather than labouring over something that has at least been completed, why not take what you have learnt in writing tWoC and use it in your new work? Rather than making a marginal improvement to an old story, I think your efforts would be better focused on one of your other ideas in development.
And just some cautionary advice that applies to me as well as you: we shouldn't overestimate other people's level of interest in our own work.
There are a few punctuation mistakes here and there, but I suppose they don't really matter. A little more description would be nice, and the final battle with Cain probably should have been longer. Finally, in all but a few occasions, fighting seems to be the only option in an encounters.
After some reflection, and scrapping a few bad ideas, I wish to rewrite 'The Wrath of Cain'. I intend to make it less linear, remove some super hard fights and alter some plot changes around the middle of the story. Is there anything else anyone thinks needs changing?
Disregard my last message. I've now beaten Hellfire, as well as Riders of the Storm! Storm was first, though. Hellfire, though difficult, is an excellent game. Excellent job again, Phil.
Whoa, thanks duffmeister, this is great news! About time FF got a new book though the Stormslayer's cover (even if it is a mock cover) doesn't look as great as standard Wizard editions.
I already said this, but it appears some glitch ocured, deleting my comment, so here it is again. Yes Bloodbones has finally been published, and so, soon, shall Stormslayer, look here: http://jonathangreenauthor.blogspot.com/2009/03/stormslayer-and-fighting-fantasy-re.html
No glitch occurred, and the comment has not been deleted. It should be obvious what is going on and why - if not please could you email me for an explanation instead of repeatedly posting about it here.
Theslayer02, I think what Haoie means is that it was a cancelled project in the original series. And yes, Stormslayer is actually Eye of the Storm, a book mentioned by Jon Green several years ago. I guess the reason the title was changed is that Eye of the Dragon had already been released in 2005, and Wizard didn't want two books with Eye in the title.
It isn't dead Kee! Haoie, Bloodbones may have been a cancelled project but it was published over a year ago, so it seems Stormslayer will arrive after all, look here: http://jonathangreenauthor.blogspot.com/2009/03/stormslayer-and-fighting-fantasy-re.html
Maybe you need to get outta the House of Horror alive to see a beautiful day.
By the way I'm so near to Trinitour yet so far! Where is the Rusty Guantlets?
SPOILER
I've search through the Guestlist for hints... So we need a "Reveal Invisibility" Spell, a "Open Door" Spell and a "Dispel Darkness" Spell at the "dead end" just west before the Acid River... However, the 2 "Reveal Invisibility" Spells can only be found after you have "Time Spell and "Open Door Spell". Upon using these you will then have the 2 "Reveal invisibility" Spells, which brings you back to acid river again AFTER the Shadow Hunter's cave , and you can't get back to the visit this dear friend... Is there a bug here, or have I guess wrongly the location of our friend's home ?
