Very well written but Titan fight provide's no options that result in anything other than death. Final battle is not heavily impacted by character actions.
What's the email address to send my new gamebook in to put on the site. I have just completed Labyrinth of the Father and it's ready to go. I've forgotten the email.
I have participated in the bin jousting. I had all but forgotten about it. This was in 2013 and the bins had come adrift from their moorings. There's a picture of me on Faceache helping shove a big bin with a chap dressed as Eddie the Trooper on top at another such bin...
Hi Rogel and Sean, Sorry you've had trouble completing 'A Saint Beckons', I'm not sure if the problem arises from a technical error (which does happen), or that you've missed key elements to ensure success in the adventure. Without more info it's difficult to say - use the 'spoiler' box to describe the path you took so that people can give hints and advice. As regards the divine Mace
SPOILER
it is not essential, but very beneficial for the final combat, especially regarding those taking the path of the Archer - less capable in melee encounters. Ironically, after years of using the powerful warbow, the archer can at least wield it for longer periods in comparison to infantry-type characters, but with less skill..
I write in whatever i feel like doing at the time. I never write the ending first (although i already know it in my head). Also there is no such thing as a wordy gamebook, some games have longer paragraphs due to the extensive plot, while other references are shorter because they dont need to explain much. I like wordy gamebooks especially ones with a very long background info before turning to 1. There is one particular FF gamebook i wish was very wordy and long because i have hundreds of questions about the villain. Things just go unanswered and leave the reader guessing.
Came back to this after a while, and really enjoyed another playthrough: I picked up a lot more of the background this time. The link to Kali's Count earlier in this thread was a real hidden gem; that, plus a few of the other posts, lends a lot of depth to the setting, and I for one am definitely hoping for another work in this universe.
