In 'Rebels of the Dark Chasms, I successfully heal Aspra and escape through the secret passage, but then there's a 3-way junction, and all three ways lead to death. What am I getting wrong?
Halloween time again, folks. Not that I really care for it, but I would like some opinions on what everyone believes to be the scariest/most disturbing FF title.
This is just a short note for anyone intending to place an entry in the 2008 Windhammer Prize that the period for entries closes on the 15th of November. So far there has been considerable interest shown in the competition and because of this I do have one request for prospective entrants.
Although it is not an entry requirement I would appreciate it if you have an entry completed at this stage, that you forward it as soon as possible. This will allow me enough time to complete the formatting and webpage updates necessary for the voting phase of the contest.
I've finished the first Shadowcaster book and sent it to Andy. It's now on the downloads page. Apologies. My job means that I have a summer with loads of time and no time most of the rest of the year. Since I didn't finish it this summer, I had to wait till now to finish it.
Enjoy! Any feedback will be appreciated!
Stuart
Thanks Stuart, this saves me the trouble of announcing it myself. Since you don't mention it, I will add that this is in fact the first of a trilogy of prequels to Beneath Nightmare Castle.
While we're on the subject of 'Nightmare Castle' prequels, I'm planning on my 'Arborell competion entry' being a segment of my prequel (Which is also a prequel to Stuart's prequel, I know this sounds like a Russian Doll here) featuring Skarlos' visit to 'Scorpion Swamp.' It features some of Stuart's concepts and stuff, so can be read before or after 'Shadowcaster'. Those wishing to play the 'whole book' will, I fear, have to wait a while, sorry. Oh, and since it's a 'taster version' some bits may change to make it more 'stand -alone.' Anyway, well done Stuart!
Sorry, I just reread that and realised it could be misinterpreted. I'm not claiming Stuart to be a plagiarist or anything, just mentioning I helped. Sorry. Well done again Stuart!
I love them too. I did a Vampire one 'The Wrath of Cain' with a 'Howl of the Werewolf style (ie:As you change into a vampire, you get new powers) which is on the downloads section (Although I'll admit that the plot's pretty linear).
An icy pole is a piece of fruit-flavoured ice on a stick. Traditionally, the piece of ice was cylindrical, hence the "pole."
However, I have decided not to shy away from colloquialisms. In general if we read a term we don't understand, we should look it up. That way we all increase our knowledge, rather than relying on bland one-size-fits-all products.
Hi Andy. I got the following error when playing Soul Tracker: Soul Tracker
UNKNOWN Roll + 714 FAILURE ERROR: Can't open file. This was directly after following the man from the coffee shop and then making towards the building when I was spotted. Please could you fix this as soon as possible?
I've fixed this, thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Hi Everyone. I am pleased to say that I have now completed Soul Tracker. Thanks for such a good book, I don't want to give away anything so I'll say no more. I particularly like the combatless method of play, getting rid of that tedius routine I think made the story more enjoyable for me at least anyways.
