Ulysses- although it would be quite understandable to hang up your hat after 8 entire episodes, I for one would be devastated to miss the opportunity to Honeymoon on Titan.
After all the potential for parody and well-meaning spoofing of much loved FF tropes is near-infinite, and I'm sure you'd do a great job of unlocking this potential.
If I get to take Pomplompotom to Khare for a romantic day-trip, (Naturally we'd catch the red-eye flight) it will definitely make my week. Please?
No one needs to know this, but I think I'll tell you anyway...
The Wrong Way Go Back Series was originally going to have 7 episodes. However, I have decided to insert a short episode in between Episode 5 and what was to be Episode 6. The reason for this is that the original 5 and 6 were a little similar in that they both featured loops, where you can explore the same area multiple times. While this can be done very badly, or quite well (I think mine is in the middle somewhere since I tried to avoid the: "If you have been here before..." option as much as possible), it is a bit boring to have two similar style adventures in a row. So I will be inserting a short 50-reference adventure in between; much like The Hypertrout, which was put in after The Golden Crate to break the trend of increasing length.
Fans of the series may also wish to comment on the idea for the final episode which I scrapped. After sucessfully marrying Pomplompotom, you at last have a girlfriend. And that's where the series is currently planned to end. But at one other time I had an idea for an additional episode: Honeymoon on Titan, where the newlyweds would take a holiday to a recreational world where tourists pay big bucks to be able to play a role-playing game on the surface of a planet called Titan, which is populated by primitive and unsuspecting natives. I thought about it for a while, but decided not to do it because I am trying to wrap this series up. However...I have begun thinking about it again...
Jonathan Green's new FF book, Night of the Necromancer is being released in April. You can find out more about the book on his blog (http://jongreenunnaturalhistory.blogspot.com)
Got my Stormslayer today for five of your English pounds! The book itself is larger than we are used to (I don't mean page count, I mean the height and the length). The instructions are at the back (?). Also, you can choose a pre-made adventurer from three on offer, one of which has a skill of 11 (!). Or you can design your own as usual.
Hi all, I've been keeping an interest in the site despite not contributing for a while. I wrote the framework for the 2nd shadowcaster book then immediatly wasn't happy with it. I've done a few short books and my entry to Windhammer (which is not FF). How are you all? I'm glad there's more FF stuff going on (A new book and fan magazine, wooo!) and that there are more books. Thanks everyone!
Hi, The rules for the Winhammer competition claim that all entries must be in rich text format. Much to my shame I am afraid I'm a little confused as to what it actually is. Can anyone clarify a little? Thanks
This explains everything : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rich_text_format. I don't know what word processor you are using, but if it is Word you can save a file in rich text format by selecting File > Save As and choosing Rich Text Format from the "Save as type" drop-down box.
Is there any way that the admin of the site can convert it from a PDF file into a word document, or an online version? PDF files aren't accessible with JAWS, the screen reader I use.

For Ulysses's sci-fi series, you indeed lose your objects, but graduate to better ones. Your skill, luck and stamina points evolve throughout your adventures, so no worries there. As for the logging board, pay close attention to the description of the loggers in Golden Crate. There's a clue hidden within the text. Enjoy!
I found some kind of bug in the wrong way go back/planet of the spiders/... series. When you go on to the next adventures you lose your objects, so you can't access the galactic logging board building from the golden crate, for instance.
This is not a bug, and you can access the building.
Stuck on midnight deep: I get through the whole thing, and when I get to the ruins there's a place with 3 doors, I tried each but I need tokens. Went through the whole thign like 5 times and I can't find the tokens anywhere. Any hints? Thx
I got an email from Nick Sidwell at Wizard Books containing this information :
- There is going to be a new Fighting Fantasy Gamebook out in September, called Stormslayer. - There will be a "new look". This appears to be primarily a change to the cover artwork, but "there’s a couple of other cool things inside too, including new adventurers to play with and extracts from the next book". - Some books will be re-released in the new format : initially, The Warlock Of Firetop Mountain, The Citadel Of Chaos and Deathtrap Dungeon. - There is going to be a new official website soon, in the same place as the existing one. - There will be more books out next year, including "two brand new titles".
